Friction Farm at St. Anne's, March 15, 2015 4:30pm

St. Anne’s Community Concert Series is proud to present Friction Farm!

This Modern-folk duo Friction Farm combines storytelling, social commentary and humor to create songs of everyday life, local heroes and quirky observations. The husband and wife duo - guitarist/vocalist Aidan Quinn and bassist/vocalist Christine Stay -  blend country, folk and pop into a seamless package.   Their new CD "I Read Your Book" features songs each inspired by a different book. Friction Farm's previous recording earned them a spot as Kerrville New Folk Finalists and Falcon Ridge Emerging Artists in 2011 (both pretty big deals in the small world of folk music). Miami New Times describes them as "melodious and infectious folk nuggets that couple pretty harmonies with a contemplative simplicity." Friction Farm's live performance is full of funny and poignant stories, spontaneous diversions, audience participation, good music, and lots of fun. From ballads to anthems, each song is filled with harmony and hope.

A reception will follow to meet the artists! All community concerts are Free to the community with Free Will Offerings accepted.
