“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing.” Psalm 100:1-2
From brass to bells to strings to voice, there are many musical gifts in our church, and we always welcome new people. We use music to express, celebrate and deepen our walk with Christ. St. Anne’s Minister of Music is Rachel Kasianowicz.
St. Anne’s Choir
Sing to the Lord a new song! The St. Anne's choir includes 10 to 15 volunteer singers directed by Rachel Kasianowicz. The choir enlivens our church worship services with beautiful choral music.
We welcome singers of high school age and older. Our music ranges from the Renaissance through the 21st century. Choir rehearsal times can be found on our calendar.
The choir sings at the Sunday at the 10 a.m. worship service, as well as occasional Holy Day services and concerts.
Jubilate Ringers
The St. Anne's Jubilate Ringers is a handbell choir. Led by Steve Mullen, the choir plays occasionally during the Sunday 10 a.m. worship service, special Holy Day services, and concerts.
The group plays English handbells, and is inclusive of chimes and whimsical percussion. With full participation, the choir plays three octaves. Bell Choir rehearsal times can be found on our calendar.
The St. Anne's Brass Ensemble
With musicians playing trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, and tuba, the St. Anne's Brass Ensemble enlivens our worship with festive music.
The repertoire is varied, including sacred and classical music for brass quintet and organ. Sacred music features hymn and carol arrangements, as well as settings of sacred songs, while classical and contemporary music includes brass fanfares, ceremonial music, and modern brass compositions. Conducted by Steve Mullen, the group rehearses occasional Sundays after church.
St. Anne's Brass was originally inspired by Harry Geehreng, a member of St. Anne's and talented euphonium player. Although he enjoyed playing euphonium solos in church, he felt that a brass ensemble would enhance our worship experience.
Going Solo
You don't have to be part of a group to share your voice or instrumental talent to our worship experience. Instrumentalists and vocalists from within our parish offer praise in solos and duets. String, wind, and percussion instrumentalists, in addition to brass and vocal musicians, regularly participate in the Sunday service.
